Haulix makes it easy for clients to duplicate existing promos. Whether you’re hoping to create multiple versions of a promo - one for downloading and one for streaming-only, or you need to promote your latest release in another language, our duplication process will simplify your workflow without using any additional storage.
**Note: Promo duplication is not included in the Rising Star Plan.**
Here’s how it works:
From your Dashboard, hover over the Promos option at the top of the page and select Manage Promos.
On the left side of the page, select the promo you want to duplicate.
At the top of the promo description, click the grey More Options button and choose the Duplicate option.
A pop-up will appear to confirm your interest in duplicating the promo. Here are a couple of things to note before confirming:
- Duplicated promos will share this promo's music files, saving you storage space.
- Editing a duplicated promo will not update the original music file ID3 tag information.
- Once you duplicate a promo, you cannot change the cover art, artist, title, track titles, or track order of the original promo.
- All other fields, including descriptions, videos, band photos, PDF attachments, and live/expiration dates, can get customized per each promo you duplicate. You can also hide specific tracks per each promo.
When you’re ready to proceed, click the yellow Duplicate Promo button.
The promo duplicate will appear on your Manage Promos screen in Edit mode. You may choose to change the cover art, title, record label, and promo description. You can also add photos, videos, and PDF attachments, change the live/expiration dates, and hide tracks. You cannot change the artist name, track titles, or track order.
After duplicating a promo, you will no longer be able to change the original promo's cover art, artist name, title, track titles, or track order. You can still update the record label and description as needed. You can also add photos, videos, and PDF attachments, change the live/expiration dates, and hide tracks.
This feature has the benefit of letting you create multiple copies of a promo that share one set of music files. You save on storage space because duplicates won't get counted towards your quota. While all of the promos share the same music files, they all have their own custom settings, descriptions and even templates.
