In our campaign I'm seeing a reasonable number of people downloading our music. Of those people, how do I find out who covered it (added it to their playlist or blogged about it, etc)?

With our HAULIX+ campaigns, we're servicing your music/promo out to our list of contacts and then sending a follow-up notice to those who have not engaged or may have missed your first send out. We do not currently offer follow-ups in the form of status of coverage (if your song has been added to a playlist, blogged about, etc). Typically these types of follow-ups are the responsibility of a publicist or whoever is acting in that role. Chasing contacts to get a status can actually be one of the most daunting tasks in the whole process of obtaining coverage, as many outlets post and do not send coverage or pass and do not share that information due to time constraints with the volume of submissions they have to review.

Setting up a Google Alert for the artist name is a great first step, and something most publicists do as well. We would also recommend setting up a Google Alert for the album/single name if it's unique, or including both the "artist" and "album/single name". Additionally, you can set up an alert with TalkWalker. While Google Alerts excels at picking up coverage on websites, in our experience, TalkWalker has always been more successful at picking up blog coverage.

In addition to alerts, we would suggest visiting the outlets that downloaded the promo and reaching out directly about coverage status.
